America’s FIRST Aga Khan Ismaili Center Opens in Houston!

There are only SEVEN in the entire world, and this is the first in America.

I previously visited the one in Dushanbe, Tajikistan about a decade ago when I was working at the US Embassy there, and it was quite interesting.

The architecture on this one looks BREATHTAKING!!!

I’ll have to visit it with my architect wife.

Check it out!

Looks like something from the late 60’s, early 70’s…

In fact there is a HS here in SA that looks just like it…

My architect wife liked the photos.

It was done by the same architect that did the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland, which is right next to my undergrad college.

Wonderful.
480,994 sq/ft of land at $85-$95 sq/ft plus 8 figures in improvements, now with a $0.00 property tax value. Stack that on top of the pro sports venues, including the property originally known as The Summit, and it’s easy for me to understand why I’m well on my way to being taxed out of a home for the second time.

Good grief.

That’s all I have to say.

Thanks for the video.

I can’t wait to go see it in person.

Truly a new architectural landmark for the city, destined to become a religious tourist attraction for Ismailis worldwide.

I want to go see it!

They did a great job balancing Contemporary and Islamic architecture with a Texas spin.

Will try to visit!
