Except you haven’t satisfied to the judge that he’s an expert witness. He’s a ballplayer, he’s not an evaluator of talent. Your argument is weak. If you have no further evidence, you can rest your case.
My counterpoint is that Bregman thought the Bagwell hire as a special consultant to Jim Crane was a good move. It was instead a total failure. Bregman FAILED as a talent evaluator; he let his heart overrule the evidence that Bagwell sucked in that position.

Does anyone here know Davis better than he does? Hint: NO. That’s basically undisputed. No one on this board knows Davis personally, much less has been coached by him.
Does anyone here know baseball better than Bregman does? Hint: NO. I’m sure someone might claim to, but that’d be laughable, given that Bregman has played the game at its highest level, and no one else here has.
So…seeing no evidence or even a convicing argument to the contrary…summary judgment in my favor!

I’d say that based upon his expertise in playing the game at its highest levels…he’s more of a baseball expert that anyone here.

But he knows more about Davis’ coaching talent than anyone here, having experienced it first hand.
It is what it is.
Now, we’ve reached peak nothingness. It’s been established that he’s no expert witness, no matter how often you move the goalposts. We’ll leave with this, and you can continue in the corner for 2 years while the jury deliberates its verdict.
Bagwell also was an MLB player, but he sucked as a talent evaluator. Hence, MLB experience DOES NOT mean you have the tools to evaluate baseball talent.

Bregman is a far better EXPERT than anyone on this board when it comes to Davis’ coaching abilities than anything to the contrary would suggest, given that he personally experienced said coaching, and no one on this board did.
And certainly Bregman is an EXPERT on the game itself, having played it as a MLB all-star.
So given that…I REJECT your last post.

I said he is an EXPERT WITNESS on Davis’ coaching abilities, which he is, having personally experienced them…UNLIKE anyone else here.
That’s one of the issues before this court: was his opinion on Davis’ coaching abilities weightier than those of his naysayers here, and of course, the answer is yes because he has PERSONALLY EXPERIENCED said coaching abilities, UNLIKE his naysayers here.
He has EXPERTISE concerning Davis’ coaching abilities given that personal (arguably professional) experience with Davis. Which makes him an EXPERT witness on that issue.
Likewise, Bregman is an EXPERT on the game itself, as a MLB all-star. That was the other issue, whether Bregman knew the game itself better than anyone else here.
So on both issues, his EXPERT testimony is weighty and relevant.
