AN IMPORTANT NEWS FLASH TO ALL HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETS OF ALL SIX ARMED SERVICES AND ALL EIGHT UNIFORMED SERVICES!

To all of my fellow Vets out there. For the first time since its founding in 1919, the Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW), my favorite Veterans Service Organization (VSO) BY FAR, has opened up membership to ALL honorably discharged veterans of all six branches of the armed forces, as well as the NOAA Commissioned Officer Corps and US Public Health Service, regardless of rank. I strongly urge all Vets within shouting distance to join immediately, as no other VSO has our emphasis on patriotic education and youth outreach. As the MOWW motto says, it is nobler to serve, than to be served.

An application for membership can be found on the MOWW website.

Our Houston Chapter, which puts on an annual Youth Leadership Conference at UH, and does Army and Air Force ROTC award presentations at UH is actively seeking new members.

Our motto: It is nobler to serve, than to be served.

DOH!!!

TYPO!!!

It happens, and I say that about the Marines with the utmost respect. Some of the best on the ground physical problem solvers out there that I’ve worked with. But I wouldn’t necessarily want them writing memos on anything.

Well, I’m retired Army, but of course I have utmost respect for my USMC colleagues.
