And So it Begins; Players Announcing Transfer

Has it ever been answered, was Chriss playing with a bum shoulder all season?

Give it a rest on Zeon Chriss already. The perceived limitations on his game has already been echoed by like 100+ fans on here does someone really need to add on to it at this point anymore.

Im glad Zeon is committed to battling it out this Spring I know a lot of people have written him off after what his Sophomore season? Im not advocating for him to start over Weigman but compare Chriss and Donovan’s numbers this past season. Both threw 4 touchdowns, both threw 8 picks, both had a completion percentage around 65%, both even had their biggest passing play being exactly 57 yards, Both threw for about 850 yards total. Near identical passing stats. The big difference this year was Zeon was the much more explosive runner.

I don’t think it mattered who was back there this year both quarterbacks were a mess. We’ve seen Donovan look much better in the passing game in years prior and I don’t think there’s any reason to believe that Zeon Chriss too could let look much better throwing the football. Happy to have him and Weigman both.

@Joprior23 called it in the transfer portal thread.

Surprised UT or Aggies didn’t pick him up.

They’re both already set at receiver.

Remember when we didn’t let Simms transfer in conference

Smart move for Manjack
he will now be a college football player in 3 of the 5 biggest metros in the US.

Hope he is networking!

Honestly don’t thk he could crack UT’s Receiving room. They’re loaded.
Im pretty sure he was n still is just a 3*.

Of course he could have gone there. If he goes to tcu he will play in the system that will allow him to showcase his outstanding skills. Neither schools’ systems compare to tcu’s.

Incorrect Chris. UT had zero interest in Manjack. Have you seen their Receiving core? I know you follow CFB. No disrespect to the former Coog, but i had to respond to that one. They are looking way higher than that level, but they’re loaded as it stands now.

He could play some at ut but there is a difference in being targeted 5+ to 1-2 per game.

I don’t think he would see the field at UT Russell, but both posts are just opinions , so we’ll leave it there. I just know they had 2 Receivers that would have saw the field at 95% of FBS Schools and playing time was very limited. Heck even Isaiah Bond who came from Alabama as 1st string WR didn’t get the touches he prob expected.

All good.

Edit: and just to finish my part. My post & response was more on that UT was not targeting him, in response to poster that said yea he could go there if he wanted
 uhhh no.

Wingo and Golden are gonna get the lion’s share of catches plus they just signed a 5 star and 2 4 star receivers.

Exactly. But Im trying not to turn this into UT WR discussion.
And by all means not put any negative posts toward former Coog, who had some good moments while at UH.
Hopefully he does well at TCU, just a refresh n lateral move for him.

No doubt Manjack could have transferred there but that was not in his best interest. tcu offers him the ideal offensive system to showcase his skills. That would not have been the case with the other schools mentioned. That is why he transferred to UH in the first place.

Isiah Bond may leave in the Spring, who knows. Again they’re loaded at that position.

No you can’t transfer to a school that isn’t interested in you.
At least not as a football player

Don’t you think I know that. Manjack clearly had no intentions of going to them.
