At least 3 Tulane players came to UH. Cooper and Webb were starters. Platt could have had a large role if not for injury. I thought tech/Wood would have gone after more. Regardless, we essentially lose only 1 key contributor off the defense that could come back for 2025. That is great
Guys still hedging to see if they can receive checks from Tech.
Curious, know how many DBs, and LBs committed after we announced our new shiny DC.
It did take a bag. They upped their original offer once he was on campus.
When the James Madison Head coach went to Indiana last offseason, he brought like 13 JMU transfers with him. Iâm sure Fritz, Wood and the staff could have taken more from Tulane than what they did and Iâm glad that Wood leaving hasnât really affected our roster either
I love Pancake but he isnât touching AJ Holmes. Coaches better get a double team ready and make him run sideline to sideline.
Tech was a finalist in his original recruiting process and im sure he bought the lie theyâre automatically gonna be so great because of NIL. Plus a change of scenery after his DC left. Sucks itâs tech though.
Holmes may not even start at tech next season. Hopefully the money was worth it.
This got a TT v AM scrap rolling.
Hypocrisy by AM hard 2 get your mind around.
Iâd bet that he;s going to start and you gotta the money when you can. The next level isnât guaranteed. He and Manjack are going to be the biggest losses this season
FWIW, they brought in two DT that are more highly regarded. I wasnât just hating on him ![]()
In light of the revenue-sharing changes Texas Tech will be making next year, one of the programs that Texas Tech is eliminating at the end of the 2024-25 school year is the Alston awards to athletes. Alston awards are education-related benefits of up to $5,980 per athlete per school year. Texas Tech makes payments at the end of full semesters to qualified scholarship athletes making satisfactory progress toward a degree, in good standing on a team and not in the NCAA transfer portal on the last day of final exams.
If Holmes enrolls at Texas Tech in January 2025, he appears to qualify for at least for the Spring semester of the Alston award, assuming he meets the other criteria.
After the season i would have guessed a lot more. Wish them well but this portal season is going much better than i could have hoped for
I know what you meant brother. Youâre good. ![]()
I wasnt saying that for were hating, but Shiel Wood contacting him âas soon as he hit the portalâ for a reason. If he ends up with less playing and gets lost in the mix then it was a failure of a move.
We brought starters from all three levels on defense. Thatâs pretty significant.
Corey Platt will be back from injury as well
We only hate it when we are not the ones doing it.
And they were key contributors
You equating them to mudcats ? ? ? ? ?
