Herm was a strange hire to begin with I am sort of impressed he managed to last as long as he did at ASU. He has been out of coaching a decade and hadn’t coached at the college level since the 80’s.

Apparently he was informed as he was walking off the field. He had a winning record every year at ASU(excluding covid year).

Even if UH loses to Rice (not likely but possible), CDH isn’t going anywhere. Too much time and money invested in him.
We will be the B12 cellar dweller until we rid ourselves of CDH or Liepold leaves KU. He will blame his players and coaches and ‘stupid stuff’.

I’m sure Hermie felt the same way after reading he was 49 on the hot seat list. Fired the man on Sunday couldn’t even wait to do it, Monday
Dana won’t be fired after this season regardless of results. Best hope is he resigns. Second best hope is he is forced into a revamping of the coaching staff and a fire is lit under him.

I don’t see much downside with releasing the OC immediately.
Given last year, I still have hope for the defense. Not ready to give up on Belk.
