Anti-Palistinianism can be ignored

There is already a post above that addresses how Bibi has actively empowered Hamas throughout his tenure and uses them as a tool to justify his genocidal war which will continue to alienate Israel and the US globally.

Clear Indication of alienation:

  • UN vote 142 vs 21 against the ground offensive in Gaza and illegal land grabs in the West Bank
  • Our closest allies and strong supporters of Israel have turned against this war (post above)

I desperately want the hostages to return so, bombing Hamas leadership at the moment they are signing an agreement to release more hostages/implement a ceasefire makes no sense…

Mossad even refused to get involved in this attack because it would jeopardize hostage negotiations. (source below):

BB doesn’t care about Israeli hostages lol

He has literally allowed convicted pedophiles in Israel

Worth repeating

Edit: on second thought, it would make sense to someone preferring war over peace for, I don’t know, maybe staying out of jail.

But not Hyman Roth.

So I’ve been staying out of this thread. Just scanned a little bit, I see arguments about the difference in Hamas and The Palestinian Authority, arguments over if Tucker Carlson was fired or not (probably the dumbest argument), plenty of war discussions, but nothing on “anti-palistinianism”. At least not as I understood what this thread was supposed to be about.

I thought it was a parallel to the antisemitism thread in which you would post various anti-Palestinian (ethnic hate or ethnic bias) incidents around the world and not be a place to argue about the war. I guess I was wrong.

Rhetorical questions

  1. Is this thread still on topic?
  2. If so, what is the topic?
  3. Is this just a thread full of politics that’s should have been closed a while ago?
  4. Is this what the OP really had in mind when starting the thread and arguing for it to stay open?

Anyways, answer those or don’t. I’m not hanging around this thread to participate. May the remaining hostages get home soon. May there be peace and prosperity for all people in the Middle East.

If you believe this needs to closed then I believe your thread needs to be closed too.

But i would rather booth remain open and stay on topic

This isn’t going to happen because someone who is “Pro-Israel” or “Pro-Palestine” doesn’t see the 2 ideals as equivalents

Yes, agreed better to keep both threads open.

Both threads bring about awareness, this thread allows for more disagreement which is good since it allows people on several sides to present their arguments.

No one is forced to agree on anything which is personal, this is a place where people can bring forth their arguments, opinions, and thoughts.

And neither thread is about pro-country or government, it’s about being for the people. Those aren’t the same things.

Right.
It’s just so easy to naturally go from one to other ( people to government/state to people) when discussing. Admittedly I’ve done it a time or two.

a step forward per the proposed Israel-Gaza plan…

  • Gaza will be governed by a temporary technocrat government and Israel will not annex the Strip.
  • No one will be forced to leave Gaza. The Strip will be rebuilt.
  • If the plan is accepted by both sides, the war will end immediately, with all captives alive and dead returned within 72 hours.
  • Israel will release 250 life sentence prisoners and 1,700 Palestinians from Gaza who were detained after October 7, 2023.
  • During this time, all military operations will be suspended in preparation for a complete staged withdrawal of Israeli troops.
  • Hamas members who commit to peace will receive amnesty while others will be provided safe passage to receiving countries.
  • Regional and international forces will provide security and train Palestinian police. Aid will flow into Gaza at agreed levels.
  • The US will facilitate dialogue between Palestinians and Israelis for coexistence.

We’ll see if Hamas will agree.

Until now, they’ve seemed dead set on fighting to the death.

When this in place they need to hold elections to see how the citizens vote.
Will they go for PLO, somebody else, or vote for Hamas and expect the war to be resumed ? Last election was long time ago and Hamas got like 44%.
Per wiki…

Legislative elections were held in the Palestinian territories on 25 January 2006 in order to elect the second Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), the legislature of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA). The result was a victory for Hamas, contesting under the list name of Change and Reform, which received 44.45% of the vote and won 74 of the 132 seats, whilst the ruling Fatah received 41.43% of the vote and won 45 seats.[1]

That depends on how Israel behaves.

If Israel stays true to their word, allow Palestinians to have some kind of autonomy, stays out of their imports/exports, etc… then I think Palestinians will be happy to steer away from Hamas

But if Israel continues to do what they’ve been doing for the last 70 years, then this conflict won’t change.

That being said, Israel has the option of genocide to end this conflict entirely, but it’s not going to lend well internationally (nor ethically)

OMG. You just can’t help yourself, can you?

Like what?

Do you even remember who started the war? Or if you do, will you admit it?

Who cares about how the war was started when Israel has the power to end it now

As does Hamas (power to end the war) and there’s a treaty on the table to end it right now but we know they won’t accept it because peace is and never was their objective.

Peace doesn’t seem to be the objective anywhere but outside of the area so why should anyone outside of the area get dragged into a fight that’s not theirs?
