In Lebanon, Christians USED to a be a majority. Now, many have had to flee the country.
Same with Syria and Iraq. Christians were already minorities there, and are now smaller minorities than ever.
Israel is the only middle eastern country where the Christian population is growing.
What this soldier did was abhorent. I hope he is held accountable as Netenyahu says he will be.
Sad that, as predicted, there’s more reaction to a statue getting destroyed than lives.
The hypocricy is crazy. One man destroyed a statue of Jesus. Not in the name of Judaism, not in the name of Israel. Not in the name of God. Just one man doing a despicable act that was condemned by nearly everybody. He will be punished for what he did.
On the flip side, there are hundreds of churches burned and destroying Christian sites in the name of Islam. You have thousands of Christians butchered by Muslims in the name of Islam and not a peep. No condemnation from any of the Muslim nations.

Buildings get damaged or destroyed in a war. Are you really equating an airstrike to deliberate arson???
I wonder how many religious buildings were damaged in other wars. Nobody complains about that. But Israel….

Doesn’t mean that the whole US Armed Forces should be condemned, much less than the nation as a whole.
Doesn’t even mean that the Afghanistan War as a whole was unjust. Ultimately unsuccessful, obviously, but hardly unjust.
Stop using anecdotal episodes such as these as an excuse for condemning an entire group or an otherwise just war.
And yes, Israel fighting back against the people responsible for 10/7 was certainly a JUST war if ever there was one.

I’m sure you remember in school when either somebody or a group tried to aggress somebody in the hall, and then the guy they picked on ended up kicking their ass?
That’s the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict (1948, 1967, 1973) in a nutshell.
Arabs gang up and attack/agress…Israelis defend and justifiably fight back in self-defense…Arabs lose…and then people complain that the aggressor bully Arabs got whooped, when they should be praising the self-defender victim (Israel) that fought back against the bullies and won.
