Elon Musk, on the other hand, has yet to formally denounce Nazism. Instead, he responded to the backlash by posting: “Frankly, they need better dirty tricks. The “everyone is Hitler” attack is sooo tired”.
I think he’s an awkward dude that did something goofy. I don’t think he meant it as a nazi salute.
That said, I do think he should say it wasn’t intended to be that.
I think giving him a pass because he is goofy or on the spectrum by people makes it easy to rationalize. He could have denounced Nazi’s, but won’t. Musk supports the far-right extremist party in Germany.

Given his history its strange how easy people are downplaying it. I don’t think we want to face the truth about the richest man on the planet. Easy to denounce Nazism but he never does
I think we have gone to the “he is a nazi” or “he is a fascist” card too often and too quickly.
One it doesn’t resonate with the public and two there is no going back from it.

He is absolutely a weird guy that has bamboozled the tax payers into underwriting his vehicles.
But this, he is throwing his heart out to the crowd. Definitely odd, definitely stupid and awkward but this doesn’t prove he is a Nazi.

I’m sure there are plenty of Jewish people invested in his portfolio, but the main reason he’s become such a supporter of his party is because it keeps Tesla in control of the EV market share
The minuscule subsidies currently available for all EV manufacturers don’t put a dent into Tesla’s overall dominance of the market
As soon as any administration approves of major EV subsidies, then Tesla will lose it’s dominance and thus SpaceX will likely be forced to go public
