Nothing serious lol but he did like my tweet hahah
Hahaha… That would be a major boost. He can shoot it from 3.
This is the kid I was most excited about when he originally committed. I would be ecstatic if he re-committed to the Coogs. Yep, he can shoot it, and his athleticism is unreal. The potential is there for him to be a really good player with the right coach.
Zero clue as to what the kid will do but the need would certainly be there. He would probably be in the starting 5 if he did.
Michael Thomas received an offer from East Tennessee State on Wednesday.
Thomas follows Deeky and Lauren Sampson on twitter.
This kid might be great, I have no idea. I just feel with where our program is now that we shouldn’t have to compete with East Tennessee state for kids. I am sure the kid is a great player, and I know stars don’t matter, but interest from other top programs should be there for any kid we want to bring on, right?
I really don’t know why he hasn’t committed. Every other top juco player has. Weird!
Those offers all came around the time he committed. His recruitment has cooled off for some reason.
Grades might be an issue
I was going to say the obvious, but people tend to not like it here when someone remotely projects negative towards a player.
Definitely seems like a big possibility
Looks as though we are his best offer.
There is likely more to the story here.
I think it should be a shooter no doubt. Tramon Mark and Jamal Shead need someone to kick it out too besides FR Walker and Sasser. Idaho transfer may develop or not into a rotation player next season.
Does anyone know why he decommitted in the first place? Did we pull his offer?
All I know is that once he decommitted from UH he transfer from Kilgore to a Utah juco. Maybe grades ???
I always see lots of good juco and hs players that don’t signed with a 4 year college is because grades.
Anyways… It should be a crazy off season with the Transfer Portal.
Honestly, I’m not trying to sound arrogant but UH basketball program is at a point where if a good recruit doesn’t want to come someone as good will. Our program has lots to offer.
What I love about Sampson is he doesn’t just go after every major recruit. He locates guys who fit our system and culture and has a pretty darn good success rate at signing those guys. He’s a man who knows what he wants and knows how to get it. I’m sure Kellen, Quanas and Hollis all help with that as well.
