I haven’t put money down on a football game in 30 years but can’t resist getting my 10 points and putting some modest money on my Cougars before Friday night.
On line betting sites are illegal in Texas. Off shore sites are available but be wary. The best ones are usually found by recommendations. I’m thinking it would be difficult to find one to open an account for one bet.

Despite the incessant commercials by DraftKings that it is “legal in all 50 states”, that is a bit misleading. Traditional online sports betting and casino games are not legal in Texas. DraftKings gets away with that statement by offering alternative games in Texas, like Daily Fantasy Sports, Pick 6, and free-to-play contests.

I like to use Kalshi. There is no house. It’s basically like buying stock in a game. You can sell before the game if you’re up or down and reinvest during the game. It’s pretty cool.

Traditionally yes. That’s why you use DraftKings, Prizepicks, Kalshi and Underdog. Which is totally not sports betting. 
This. I use Kalshi and have been enjoying it for all of these reasons. Other sites like DK and Underdogs only allow you to bet on player props, not games and spreads.
I did investments with Robinhood and they have it set so you can use cash not invested to bet on games. The only thing I didn’t like was when you did a buy or sell during a game, it was often cancelled and you had to keep trying, and numbers kept dropping. It supposedly was associated with Kalshi because that is who I got an e-mail from about my shares bought or sold.
I was looking at Robinhood too! 28 cents for a Houston contract. 
HOOD shares it is, all in, i’ll leave the gambling to yall

I put money on the coogs on prizepicks, a friend told me about it so im trying it. Havent tried Kalshi but will give it a try eventually.
