Yep… I agree we SHOULD beat them but after some of the ridiculous losses that I’ve seen from my alma mater I don’t assume anything.
We’re riding a 5 game winning streak against the Owls so it’s a pretty safe bet that we’ll win.
That floors me actually. And continues the theme that UH gets more respect nationally than it does in its own state.

In 1997-98 UH basketball under Alvin Brooks started 7-0 and cracked the Top 25. Then the schedule got tougher and the Coogs lost 20 of their final 22 games.

I remember being excited at 7-0, then as the season progressed the depression set in.
I was never excited under Coach Brooks !! He was just in over his head at that time.
Another bad hire when both the school and athletic department were adrift !!

It was a political hire.
It was also a players hire…a lot like Levine.
The players wanted Alvin badly, if my sources were correct.
Note: players hires rarely work out.
