I have never seen more dumb plays than Vanderbilt has made down the stretch. Yet they hold on to win by 1.

But Vanderbilt is a “smart” school. The SEC’s Rice, Tulane, or Northwestern.
You have been paying attention. Those are elite academic schools.
Not that it really matters but why is Kansas considered better than Houston?

Ummm we’ve been in Seth Davis’ Top 25 rankings the entire season.
Hard on or not they’re still a Top Ten team in both KP and NET. And with them having better wins than us it’s not crazy for them to be ranked higher.
