This was a day of miracles.

I bought 4 tickets off seatgeek on July 11 for this game. 40 yard line row 10, good seats.

We met our ASU buddy and his group in Chandler for lunch & beers. We then headed to tailgate with their group next to the stadium.

An hour before game time I pull my tickets, which I already checked, and they are gone. Did you know there are also fraudulent Seatgeek phone numbers? We called one number and they tried to get us to pay $60 activation fee. Long story, short, the seller stole the tickets back and we we left with a promise of a refund & 20% inconvenience fee.

Fortunately, we were hanging with high rollers. They sent me to a ticket broker and he did us a solid. We ended up on the 50 a few rows higher for less money. Miracle #1

The stadium is great. Nice sight lines, lots of vendors, really nice. Oh, no A/C in the mens room. Parking is a couple garages, very little lot parking.

I had low expectations with the game but hoped ASU had a Texas Tech hangover. Coogs are just a well coached team. Miracle #2 was beating ASU on their home turf breaking their 11 game home winning streak. It helped their excellent WR was out and we knocked Leavitt out of the game.

Fans were very nice, talent of the coeds is exceptional. We stayed in Old Scottsdale. Nice place to hang

I will never use Seatgeek again. They have a problem with the system that allows a seller to pull tickets back after the final sale. The issue caused us to miss pre-game and the first field goal.

I was there. Great experience.
Awesome weather and atmosphere and fans were great. Someone said “welcome to Tempe” to us. And the coeds, good lord

The issue with all the ticket sites is they sometimes mis-represent who actually has the tickets and rely on the boxoffice for security, we use Paciolan and I sell on Stubhub, I can transfer the tickets to Stubhub, via the app and Stubhub will present it as an instant download, but they never take possession, the tickets only leave my account when they are downloaded, so if I was unscrupulous I could cancel the transfer and sell them again. It’s still better then the days you had to trust someone did not sell the same ticket barcode 5 times.

As Shaun stated, they all do this stuff. It’s normally not a big deal, but if it’s a high demand event with limited supply, you may not make it inside the venue.

I ended up in better seats thanks to my ASU buddies. It was a mad scramble to pull it off.

The hardest part is the customer service is like walking through a maze. No phone number to speak with someone.

I think if possible, I’m going paper ticket route.

We bought our tickets thru StubHub……usually my go too for resale tickets.

ASU fans were actually good, no problems. Easy to talk too and really friendly. I even made a 10 dollar bet with the guy in front of me. He paid up too and congratulated us on the win. Overall a really good atmosphere, had a blast here.

Have been to their Stadium and have walked through part of their Campus.

It is a large State University in a very large Metro area.

Sound familiar?

This could be an excellent rivalry going forward. At present we have beaten them 3 consecutive times.

When we next play them in Phoenix I strongly recommend making this a several day roadie. Include Sedona, Flagstaff, and The Grand Canyon.

I love both UA and ASU campus. Both have campus with cities catering to both schools. Tempe is not only next to Phoenix but it also has created its own “district” I wish we could try to do the same but the City of Houston poli…cs have not allowed us to do the same. Will we be able some day? I sure hope so. We have had threads on it for years.

Something very similar happened to me with Gametime last year at a LA Chargers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game last year. Bought the tix before we left the hotel. Started walking towards the stadium, got a text saying tix delivered. Looked at the app and nothing, then spent the next 40 minutes going back and forth with Gametime on the phone and via text.

To their credit, they made it right by giving us much better tix than we had bought for the same price. 1st row 50 yard line - good sight lines with no issue seeing over players.

Good tip!! I was in Vegas for a music festival once and was denied at the gate. Seller sold my tickets to someone else that arrived before me (and I was really early too). Unfortunately StubHub had no more tickets left either.

It took a good 45 minutes but I finally found a sympathetic person at the fest that waived me through the gates. F StubHub.

Seller probably sold it a dozen times. That it why they do tap tickets now and have done away with pdfs.
