His defense is not bad….its average and needs to get taken up a notch….but his footwork is good, mechanics are good, and arm is good.
His hand eye coordination is elite……he just needs to work on 100% focus on every play……so no, his defense is “not bad”.
Another reason I know you don’t follow baseball is because the best hitters in the game have an increasing amount of swing and miss in their game……it is common place now more than ever.
His bat is electric, his speed is close to ++….he has close to a .900 OPS….his OBP is over .400

I guarantee I do. I’ve been going to spring training for 20-plus years, I know dozens of scouts, a few GMs, several scouting directors. I have several numbers of GMs and some Hall of Famers in my phone. Have you hung out in the lobby at the winter meetings and talked to baseball executives and agents?
