This year certainly counts for coaches
That’s an expensive move.
There big booster Jimmy Rane must have made the call on this one.
If he wants to coach he won’t be unemployed long.
It’s hard to coach at Auburn. Their expectations are sky high, but they are in the same division as Alabama, LSU, aTm, Ole Miss and Miss State. Even if they win their division, there’s Florida, UGA, and Tennessee to deal with.
I honestly thought he did a fine job there…
$20M decision. Wow!
Money is still a Direct Deposit. So same!

If you haven’t seen the 30 for 30 about the Alabama/Auburn rivalry, it will tell you all you need to know
They also would not mothball the Gus Bus unless they had the successor
Hugh Freeze “has beaten Nick Saban twice.” Every SEC team that needs a coach is enamored with him because of this. And they don’t care how he did it.
Auburn paid for their bcs salad bowl. They won the Cam Newton highest bid sweepstakes. The problem is that they have limited funds comparable to their neighbors.

Oh wait LSU’s 2020 National cfp salad bowl?
LSU football self-imposes one-year bowl ban for 2020 season
Not only did the cartel create the P5’s but they are also wanting us to believe that these cfp championships are legit.
How do you spell A.R.R.O.G.A.N.C.E?
The problem with coaching in the SEC is that everyone is a titan (except for Vandy and Kentucky) and every fan base remembers when they were on top of the heap and think they should be there right now.
Jiminy…if the assistants aren’t retained, buyout up to 30m.

There is a good chance that Auburn has made a huge mistake.
I wouldn’t mind him in scarlet and white but that’s not happening. He’ll be a head coach somewhere next year.
We couldn’t afford Malzahn and his assistants.
Also, if successful, he wouldn’t stay long.
Otherwise, it is an intriguing thought.
Wow, if you stink as a head coach, you can still make millions when they fire you. What other occupation can be so lucrative if you’re bad at you job? Not mine!!!
