Now that there is the NIL, do the entities served by the NCAA board of governance need them any longer? Would the colleges have the ability to neuter or dissolve them? They are remarkably biased when they punish, just end the charade.
These results are squarely based on the fact that Bruce Pearl is the most likable college basketball coach. You can’t really punish someone you like…right???
I had not connected the dots…so BigGameBoomer is the NCAA Oversight Committee? You just blew my basketball mind.
So the assistant gets a 10- year show cause and the HC gets two games.
The SEC…I mean the NCAA is in control!

That’s a lot of focus on the suspension. I think the scholarship reduction is the bigger punishment.
Do we assume will wade and LSU will get identical punishment? Or did they already do the proper louisiana thing and bribe somebody.
wait…$5,000.00 fine, 3% percent of basketball budget?..so their basketball budget is only $166,667.00?..i don’t think they reported their actual budget…
I have a feeling some preferred walk ons are going to get some sweet NIL deals.
Maybe that was their “moving” budget.
No, it’s $5000 AND 3% of their basketball budget.
i see it…lol…
I expect the the investigation to be “ongoing” for at least several more years. The current NCAA chairman used to be the chancellor at LSU and LSUs current ADs daughter is married to the chairman’s son.
Three percent of the budget to cover the cost of the investigation … $5K for the enforcement committee Christmas party.
