I am anxious to see how UH performs in much different weather conditions than in Houston. To get to the big post-season games, you have to win these games.
meanwhile my dad told me tonight, who still lives in houston; that houston hit a record highfor october 13th; yikes ! a chance to get out of that will be welcomed by many me thinks.
NC is great, it is houston heat without the humidity in the summer; i went there years ago in july and it was 95, i was like; no this isn’t the 95 i am used to.
cant remember which posters or which thread but some were worried WV would be snowy or icy for the game. it could happen but likely too early for that.
i would be curious to see if mountain teams had more issues with the heat and humidity in games around texas in september or if more texas teams had issues with altitude.
No they weren’t, it was a conversation about the possibility of snow in Morgantown in late November, the weekend before Thanksgiving, and how much was possible or not. That’s all it was. No one was worried about it.
Utah came down to play a Hatfield Rice team on a humid day and got beat 56-10. and that was a ranked Utah team with only 1 loss. so they have issues. BYU lost a game to Rice down here, too. So there’s issues for the road teams either way, i think. We gotta overcome, like we did at K State.
i didn’t want to search it, but not going to be told i imagined something.
from the other games (2026) week #5 thread - from robdob
“I’m expecting at least 6” of powder during the game, if it’s a day game. 1 foot if a night game"
“I’ve worked in West Virginia and i do know their weather a bit. I was so cold at Bridge Day New River Bridge (google it) Halloween weekend, I didn’t know it got that cold anywhere like that in October. Our game is the end of November and you can’t tell me it won’t snow.”
seems you were worried in this case.
you can tell me that is not what you meant or you were exaggerating but in this case, i am not the one hallucinating.
I’m going to the game, I want to see snow on the ground for the first ever game that we play in Morgantown WV. Who was worried or admit you misunderstood?
