I’ve seen Aziz a few times over the past couple years at Clements. Saw him this past year against Shadow Creek (Bryce Jackson/Mike Collins) in the playoffs. Aziz’s ability to handle the ball at his size makes him tough to guard. Tasked with doing most of everything for Clements. Has a younger brother that has some real flashes handling the ball and shooting from deep. They had 1 other shooter on that team that was pretty good. But Clements was one of the best teams in the state and hung around with Shadow Creek with Aziz carrying the load. Showed out this summer, NBPA top 100 camp MVP and playing on Team Canada. On the come up quickly.

On principle alone, I feel like we have to offer Olajuwon Jr. Even if we don’t want to recruit him hard or we’d have no minutes for him. We have 15 ships, we’re not going to play everyone. Like, I just think on principle alone, we have to, like, throw him an offer. It feels weird with there being an 4star Olajuwon son and us not recruiting him at all.

I still wonder if he’s already made it clear that he’d prefer to make his way elsewhere.

This wouldn’t surprise me. If Jr said he didn’t want to go to Houston, then he could be saving time for Sr + Sampson & Co.

We can also account for how academic Clements is, maybe he is holding out for a more academically weight school and just wants to play in college?

I dont think so lol.

UH just hasnt offer.

Not because hes not good. Just because hes more of a developmental player who probably wont get minutes right off the bat here.

Maybe hes looking for real playing time right away.

Whereas Bryce Jackson was coming off an injury hs career who is trying to build himself up again by redshirting here.

There are a lot of legitimate reasons why he may not choose to come here. But I agree with pesik that symbolically offering him makes sense. Doesn’t mean he wants to come here, or anything else. But I think acknowledging is a good thing

I’ll leave it up to coach from a fans perspective. Hes garner such goodwill for a decade here.

I mean I don’t think anyone r is saying coach is jeopardizing any goodwill here. Just would be a nice gesture to offer.

Aziz by his evident dedication wants to earn his “scholarship offer” I love it. He is working his tail off and proving himself that he belongs to the next level. When the time is right for both I believe we will offer him. I don’t think he would like to have it any other way.

Not sure I want Olajuwon on our list unless he is coming here.

UH targets.

Bryson Howard ('26) is about to be a 5 star after Peach Jam is currently #3 regardless of class in the state according to coach Sloan.

Reese Alston ('27) is #6 probably a future 5 star. Filthy good. Awesome finisher etc…

Aziz Olajuwon ('26) just wins and most improved player in Texas. Meteor rise on rankings. No UH offer so far.

Christian Gibson ('26) is literally on UH backyard. Combo guard who can create and score with the best in the country. Top 70 talent currently.

Like, it sounds good like, Pesik like.

I don’t think anyone on this board including myself know whether or not he would be a “developmental player” or not.

He’s had a huge summer and still has time to improve even more.

I love it on many levels.
He EARNED it.
CKS and his staff took their time.
Aziz showed how much he wants it.
He is humble.
Having Hakeem around can only benefit us.

Is it a big time upset if he doesn’t end up at UH now ???

I see the Dream around Houston all the time.
