Ridiculous that this young man has generated 6.5K views. I get that he is a legacy but let him hoop and enjoy high school.
6.5k views on a coogfans thread keeping him from enjoying HS?
No this just means we are evaluating him.
At the end CKS will be honest about what role he sees him in and how soon he may get on the court etc.
If we tell Aziz there is a spot for him and both agree then he may be a COOG.
There should be a spot for him with 15 ships available or i would hope so. I think his improve play has earned him that. The question is will he get minutes soon enough or be red shirt; that may sway his decision.
For example: Chase McCarty who was a 4 star decided to stay in Houston where minutes wouldnât been available.
Given that we have several 5 stars looking at UH already from the c/o '26 that play the same position it may be a tough sell. But donât underestimate the legacy in his familyâs name at UH.
They expect him to commit.
They held back on offering so he could get the full recruiting experience but they believe he comes here now.
Good to hear. Go Coogs.
âŠand he clearly has progressed. This is one being a ânameâ and another to deserve a scholarship. I love his attitude, commitment and the fact that he truly enjoys playing the game. How many starâs son have we seen that acted like total brat? I canât wait for him to put on our uniform.
If this was 2018 or 19, weâd be estatic to add a player like Aziz caliber regardless who he is related to. I think thereâs a chance his stock grows a lot during AAU and big schools start offering.
Big schools are already offering⊠starting with us!
There is video somewhere of Aziz going hard against Tyran StokesâŠ.Stokes got the best by a little but Aziz more than held his own.
Kid is gonna be so good defensively.
Not that height is the end all be all. But, heâs probably still growing taller and will have a solid frame once he fills out.
When it comes to basketball, we are one of the big schools.
H-Town Legacy!
Go Coogs!
As in outside of us
Arizona State, DePaul, Cincy, Okie Lite, Stanford, TCU, Vandy, Virginia Tech and Xavier have all offered Iâd say he already has big school offers.
I thought Texas had offered, alsoâŠ
I donât see it on 247⊠I swear that I read that somewhereâŠ
Aziz knows what he is stepping into at UH, we should offer and if he decides to go elsewhere that is fine, you do not want to hurt any family discussion of playing for Houston. It will be hard work, and yes he would have to live up to his Dad and develop like his Dad, but I feel if we do not offer it will be UH that loses out, should he go on to be an outstanding talent and his Dad supporting another school. The portal is always there if things do not work out. Our greatest player deserves that respect.
