NEWS AND NOTES
- Houston scored 39 points in the first half, marking the most they have scored in the first 20 minutes this season. They had previously scored 37 points on two other occasions, against Southeastern Louisiana in the season opener and College of Charleston.
- The Cougars won their conference opener for the first time since 2012-13 when they defeated Memphis 77-75 on Jan. 10.
- Houston dominated all of the major points categories including in the paint (38-16), off turnovers (19-5), second chance (16-9), fast break (6-0) and bench points (33-10)
- Houston won the bench-points battle for the 12th time this season, outscoring Tulsa with their reserves 33-10.
- Since her first double-digit scoring game on Dec. 4, Jasmyne Harris is averaging 14.6 points per contest.
- For the third time this season, Butler matched her career-high in assists, leading all players with six in the contest, while also setting a new career mark with four steals.
