SERIES vs. TEXAS STATE Wednesday’s meeting is the 14th all-time against Texas State.
The Cougars hold an 11-2 advantage in the series with Texas State and have never lost to the Bobcats inside Hofheinz Pavilion, holding a 6-0 mark on their home court.
The last time the two teams met was Dec. 15, 2013, when the Bobcats edged the Cougars 70-63 in San Marcos.
SERIES vs. MERCER Friday’s meeting against the Bears will be the first in the two team’s history. The meeting will also serve as Hughey’s first contest against a SoCon team.
“We have to shoot the ball better,” Head Coach Ronald Hughey said. “We have to shoot the ball better, and we have to play for 40 minutes. I thought we only played for 30 minutes tonight. The effort was there late in the ballgame.”
