On the other hand, I think we’re much more stacked this year. Not only can we sub in a 6’11” player in the middle to block shots, but we added two young guys that can shoot the rock. Oh, and did I mentioned that TA and JoJo are back?
A&M is no different than any other team out there that can get hot and shoot lights out for the win.
I also think you can throw that last game against A&M in NCAA tournament out the window. I haven’t seen a game with that many fouls called in decades (A&M shot 45 FTs). Even the announcers said the last time 4 starters fouled out of an NCAA tournament game dates back to 1987.
Yet, somehow, someway, we found a way to win with 4 starters on the bench. Maybe the next time our starters get in foul trouble, Sampson will sub in guys like Mercy Miller, TA, and Jojo instead of Ryan Elvin and Dunn.
