If that is correct then the baseline has a higher priced donation than ticket price. It it really is $550 a seat than I am out. Ive had season tickets since before Fertitta and it saddens me that I cant renew due to how expensive tickets have gotten for the least expensive seats. There just no way that I can budget that. Im really tired of UH nickel and diming fans. I am not sure how everyone can keep paying these prices for basketball and many football as well. UH has lost its mind. There should never be a seat that has a higher donation than seat price…
I dont think there is much of a waiting list for season tickets any longer. Lots opened up this year when they kicked the ticket brokers (leeches) out. I could be wrong about the waiting list, but I know several people who got tickets this year and hadn’t been on the waiting list very long.
Im posting about being sad about no longer being able afford it and you comment with this. Could you be anymore tone deaf. You could of just not commented with that negativity for once as a poster.
Then why is the baseline the only seats that have a higher donation than seat price? Should not be called a donation if it is over seat price. I could go buy some Rockets season tickets and would likely not be much difference than this. The price has gone up over 4x the amount since Feritta opened.
UH has been to two Final Fours, a national title game, five-straight Sweet 16s, and has had the most sustained success in school history.

I did this math last week and did not put a bunch of time into, but here are ticket prices (I picked a random seat type) from some of our conference mates.
Season ticket price center court chairback non-club (ticket and donation)
UH $500+500
TCU First 10 rows $825+$1675, higher $300+$325 Tech $515+$495 WVU $500+$650 BYU $1,525 and sold out there entire season ticket allotment before they got to donors under $1,500 KSU $1,863 (24-25) Arizona $1,600 + unstated Capital Campaign Contribution (25-26) Baylor $750 + $1750 Kansas $6,000-$12,000 unclear of the breakdown ISU $535-710 with a $4,500-$18,000 donation
If the price is getting too expensive join Stubhub and sell a couple games, what they sell for may shock you. Right now the cheapest tickets to the UH vs Arizona game are $423 each
We are not a town where we are the only game in town. We are in the 4th largest city in the country with pro sports and many entertainment options. We need stop pointing to other programs and say that is what they price at. We are not a college town yet we price like it. We are not going to have a waiting list long with these prices. $900 in “donation” alone for 3 seats. That is more than the total price for each seat which is additional. It tax write off they will say. It is not $ for $ and the write off wont even be half of the cost back. This is going to backfire. Nickel and diming just like in football. There are already noticeable empty seats on the baselines at games this year and there might be more at this price point next year.

coog74 reply - We are a big time BB program. Pony up or just don’t renew as the wait list is long.
Ticket prices must be direct reflection to the level of performance expected of a college’s athletics program. The ticket prices at Rice and Houston Christian would likely be quite a bit lower due to their lower level of athletic attainment. And TSU and Prairie View likely also have a lower ticket price. So, there are options for Houston area college BB fans.
The comparative price of UH tickets at the Fertitta Center seems fairly low to me. We expect to compete with Kansas & BYU, etc,; yet their venues and tickets prices seem to dwarf our relatively modest ticket prices.
Wrong - Look at the chart - Club, Terrace, Ledge - Seat $800 Donation $900. Priority Chairback Seat $500 Donation $600. So you’re complaining about Seat $250 and Donation $300. Yikes. You can pay over 7 months which is less than $80 per month per seat.
Would it make a difference if your seats were $350 ticket and $200 donation?
What is the increased total cost from what you paid this year in $$…my total cost went up $200 from what I paid last year …(over 7 months that is $28 additional…total) …not going to make a big difference…plus you can now pay over 7 months …just look at your total additional cost and I think you will see this is very fair …
I agree with kae71463. We have the same ticket / donation cost range, and the 4.05% increase is no problem for wife and me. We are actually on the wait list to try and get into the very premium seats. We love our COOGS BB.
