After a year plus in the Big 12, Baylor has to be the weakest member/brand in the Big 12.
Small Religious school with no National following that has half filled football stadiums and they sit in a small market.
If there is a raid of the Big 12, I am confirmtable is saying UH is a more desirable brand…makes it more evident that SWC + Big 12 should have gone with the large public school over them.

We are the more desirable brand I agree. But Baylor has more $$$, I’d assume. So there is that.
Yes but again, politics played a role. Baylor was a punching bag in the B12 until Briles arrived. And even then it took him 2 years to get that program going.
Of course, but at the time, the top politicians in TX, especially Bob Bullock, promoted that dang CHURCH SCHOOL over UH.
Fast forward to the present.
The current administration, unlike that one, pushed for UH.
I’m glad they did, but it was more than two decades too late. Hundreds of millions were lost.
Sadly, if there’s a P2 breakway…those same politicians that got us in the Big 12 probably won’t be able to get us in the breakaway league.
Do they have more $$$… thought we had a billion dollar endowment and we should have equal money in another year from Big 12.
The billion endowment is system wide. UH only is like $780 million? Last time I checked I believe. Baylor is close to $2 billion and it should go higher once the SPX hits 6k lol
It’s not just Big12 money, which would only offset university subsidies. A successful program also needs fan support. Baylor - whatever your feelings about them are - has better support. Money aside, why do folks here think UH is so much better? Because it’s in a “big city”? Please.
One of my colleagues is driving hours from Atlanta to get to the Bama/GA game. Guess there isn’t enough in Atlanta to do.
They also have a national championship basketball team.
They’ve had every advantage imaginable and are getting whipped by a team with G5 talent. I wanna laugh but then remember our famished offense plays later this evening.

The fact is when OU and UT left, Baylor was 100% convinced that if the Big 12 was raided they were headed for a G5.

In football, I’m not sure that we currently aren’t worse.

Its close but the ceiling of the 50,000 student public school in a big market gives us the edge
