I just know they were here and working on it.
They’re going to Bama Vandy

Pretty much everything you suggested is a ton of money.
For six games per year, i can’t see how any of that is a priority.
For a long-term solution, I would begin now planning with Metro to elevate the train around UH during the next significant upgrade or maintenance to the line.
It’s a safety issue. It’s a traffic flow issue. I’d bet UH and Metro could get outside money to help alleviate the problems. However, this could take a decade or more to get done.
I just there will be no reason to leave early, unless you’re a tech fan.
I still can’t believe Pink’s didn’t make it…
Multiple cops generally don’t help. Most of them are clueless and make things worse, traffic wise. Especially if they don’t coordinate with each other.
This really isn’t difficult. Give them all directions on where to point and when to stop. And it’s worked OK for years. Why is it now problematic to move people through Wheeler and Scott when it wasn’t before?
Send people south of the stadium south on Cullen or east on Wheeler - no turn off Cullen except to go left on Wheeler. Send people on Wheeler west toward Scott. Don’t send people back toward campus anywhere. Simple.
This would be brilliant and keep Scott from getting so congested heading to 45. Or wheeler can either head south towards the spur or west on Scott to head to macgregor.
My cardinal directions may be wrong but the gist is that only people who park in the garage and lots near music can head to 45 from Scott.
At least he’s trying from a PR standpoint.
awww… boohoo…
poor me I can’t arrive to the stadium 5 mins before kickoff and expect to make it in time…
The biggest stupid decision that was made to contribute to the traffic problem this season was to park those buses on Holman St., essentially eliminating a lane both East and West, in front of the parking garage. UH corrected the problems for the next games.
Do you have a habit of blowing things out of proportion and not be able to see problems in everyday life like you apparently do here?
UH just sent out an email with several tips for parking. So I’ll give Eddie credit, it appears he’s trying.
You know, I thought the same thing.
Would have loved to have this sent out prior to game 1, and not waiting til game 5.
We’ve played two home game so far
I heard that METRO rail no longer has priority at traffic signals, so I’m curious if our ~10 minute train ride becomes a much longer ride.
I think it’s still much better than sitting in traffic on the street, but something I’ll keep my eye on.
And no, I don’t place blame on Nuñez for the new light rail traffic operations that started this week. Clearly not his fault. Let’s place the blame on its rightful owner… thanks Obama.
What they need are traffic control people in the garage. They have this at Disney and they can clear out the garage in a hurry.
Whiny Fans. Get there early like the AD said and you won’t have an issue parking.
After the game, figure out.
Tell me you do not go to games without telling me.
I was out of the parking garage in 1 minute. I did park at the bottom as I arrived a little before 2:30.
