Regarding the garage, do people not know the zipper in protocol?
Those buses were the Tech band. They had 12, I believe. Someone goofed pregame and allowed them to turn onto Holman (from Cullen) and basically just park for 45 minutes in the left hand lane (and right hand lane was impassable). I assume that’s who was there postgame.
UH seemed to do better on traffic in several ways Saturday, but allowing a visiting band to block access for donors was a major oversight/goof.
You are correct. The Tech band bus was blocking the right lane going toward the campus. The buses that for awhile were blocking the exit out of the garage were all University of Houston buses.
Speaking of the tt band, it looked to me that they have more members. Wish we could add more to the SoH.
I think so, too. It just doesn’t make sense that we have to go through this BS every year while some new crew reinvents the wheel. There’s no reason to have a learning curve every season.
It was closed for the colorado game. I didn’t chance it for Tech. I was at least 2 hours early for colorado. 2 and a half hours early for Tech. Thanks!
And we are only at 40k max capacity, I can imagine people’s heads exploding at traffic with 50k and 60k
UH has at least one more parking garage planned so hope that would releive expansion some
Left the stadium at 9:45, walked back to the blue lot had time for my son to do a round trip to CV2 farted around a bit more before leaving the lot, got stuck by a train and still made it to I10 by 1045 and was at the house in Crosby by 1115. Cullen and Scott/York are completely empty once you get past 45
Where on campus?
My my understanding the parking lot in front of the fields last time saw the master plan
By the Cullen entrance?
I believe so
Traffic coming into the campus and to the parking lots was much better but the slowness going through the metal detectors at the stadium was still god awful.
Have you noticed the concerns are amazingly similar and relatively consistent? DING! A pattern!!
