Just something to keep in mind.
Oh that’s very doable if he stumbles.
A loss tomorrow and this thread will have 100s of comments and 1000s of views.
I hope not but it makes sense.
Time for bed…
Dana donated 1 million dollars to the RISE campaign
I think hes pretty safe, at least this season.
Can we delete this thread lol
Oh he’ll get his money back. You better believe that!
Dumb post. Kicking out a talented proven p5 head coach who wants to be here is dumb. Ask LSU how that goes. Ed had a down year after winning A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, and they were so sure they could do better now that they were champs. Only a couple games into Brian Kelly and it aint looking good. This is a slippery slope to becoming the idiots we used to mock on this board.
I mean jesus. Might I remind you the man just put up 1 million dollars of his own money towards this Rise campaign? Geez we suck as fans. This is stupid.
It would be a huge mistake . Dana is a good coach. We don’t want a revolving door of coaches again bc it hurts recruiting and continuity. We made a few mistakes on coaching like not doing the given fg and burning more clock which are easy to fix. Otherwise we beat tech and again we matched up well against them this yr and out played them vs last yr. Last yr I thought they were bigger, faster stronger but not this time. We’re actually big 12 ready bc of Dana and the roster development thru the portal which he’s doing great at so far.
Dana’s 13-3 over the last two seasons. Why are we thinking about him being fired with 9 more games to go in the season?
Blatant stupidity! Seems a bit Aggie like to me.
Just be thankful you didnt have an AD that gave your coach a very premature contract and buyout extension (20 freaking million dollars), before said coach earned that vote of confidence and then promptly loses at home to Kansas to go 0-2
I wouldn’t judge Brian Kelly on his first season. The dude at FSU had a rough first season as well despite being very successful at Memphis. These coaches usually need a bit of time to get their guys and implement their system. Although Holgi managed to lose to a Tech coach last year that got fired and then lost to a Tech coach in year one last week. So he is probably about the level of the current WVU head coach. Holgi last won a conference in 2011 and could win a natty only in his dreams.
Most coaches have a rough year their first year. Gundy had three really tough years before he went 6-2 in conference. Aside from being an alum I think he and Holgorsen have some things in common. Both were hired because, if successful, they’d be prone to staying and developing the program.
Why are the coach’s making those mistakes despite being seasoned at the job? If anything, it’s a bad sign of things continuing this way.
Dana isn’t going anywhere.
We finally have a coach who wants to be here and is a proven winner. I hope we give him the gundy treatment and keep him around for years.
True. Because young up and coming coaches were treating the UH job as a stepping stone in the past. I think that narrative has changed a bit.
Big 12 membership/with new Tv Deal
NIL/a new UH collective setup by Sunshine
Transfer Portal/being in a major city plus home of many big time athletes
New athletic facilities/and better looking campus to live at and for entertainment as well
Growing fan base with students participating with alumni and new casual fans!!!
He didn’t have the team mentally prepared for the first two games. Let’s see if it’s any different today.
