I made the trip with my little sister who graduated from Cal last semester. Haven’t caught a baseball game in a couple years. Perfect weather for baseball tonight. Go Coogs!

I’ve been taking our broadcast for granted. Cal has a single camera behind the net.

Still the horrible PAC Network baseball set up.
ACC Network quality control eventually fix it.
Can’t tell most balls or strikes or what’s an error.
Worked for UH tonight.
No chance refs overturn that huge UH catch in 8th.
Saved 2 runs.

Gold Bars get 2 in the 3rd on an RBI single and a sac 6-3.

Cal fills the bases and goes station to station 3 times. Coogs infield D still figuring it out. Schmitz not the happiest starter with a low pitch count to get pulled that I’ve ever seen.

I should mention out loud that I’ve never seen a no hitter in person before. Currently the Coogs have no hits. Cal is sending Cole Clark out for the 8th to continue his no hit bid.
Looks like we are getting no hit through 8. 2 Cal pitchers have 10 K’s. Cmon Coogs!
Coogs FINALLY got a hit with 1 down in the 9th.
We almost gave Cal their first no hitter since 1978.
Cougars also scored a run with 2 outs. 5-1 Cal wins.
And i still haven’t seen a no no. Some superstitions are real.
Coogs illustrate the Parkinson Principle, work expands to fill the time allotted for it. Threaten in the 9th but fly out to end it 5-1. Let’s get it tomorrow.

I can’t remember ever seeing a more low budget TV telecast than the ACCN. Even the announcer said “that was called a ball but I can’t tell you where it missed.”
