Best parking lot for Tailgating?

I want to start tailgating this year and was hoping for some insight on the best parking lot. We used to have a spot in the garage, but now we can pick between the blue lot and the green lot. I have always assumed the blue lot was the best tailgating lot, but the cougar pride rep is saying the green lot is better. What’s y’all’s opinion? Ideally I’m getting to either lot early enough to set up on the grassy areas in front of them if that matters

Blue is better. Green is fine if you get there earlier.

Matter of preference, The group that I am in has been in the green lot for a few years now. Short walk across Wheeler and you are at the stadium. I can’t wait to see the tailgates this year. A lot of new faces. Good times to be had and memories to be made.

Wherever it is the walk should be much better with the completion of the Cullen Project improving the sidewalks, streets and drainage.

We have tailgated in both the blue lot and the green lot. There are two things about the blue lot that we prefer.

  1. More grassy areas and shade.
  2. The lot directly across Elgin is a
    cash lot, so when we invite extra guests
    to tailgate with us, and they don’t have a
    parking pass, they have a shorter walk to
    join us.

Do we get our choice of blue or green if we donate the green level?

EDIT: Spoke to someone at Cougar Pride. If you are assigned green lot you can request to swap to blue lot, but must wait until the passes are given out (which she said is supposed to happen next week).
