I know I had a thread somewhere from a year or so ago about this floor. It’s very cool and will be fun to see what they do with it.
Am I the only one who is concerned about it being too slick? I’m sure they’ve tested it but it still makes me nervous
According to the article, it meets all of the standards of hardwood floors. They used it in the 2024 NBA All Star game.
I am trying to grasp how they treated it so it doesn’t become a hazard with sweat on the floor

It does happen on modern court surfaces
I don’t recall it being as big an issue in the past
I’ve seen some pretty hard slips all over different courts and I think they would redesign the floors with player safety in mind before revenue but I guess I’m naive that way

had to be done, more chances for revenue; glass floors coming all over college basketball soon enough.
