I look at the Oklahoma St. game this way. If you were one of the dwindling CDH supporters before that game, no way you could walk away from the Oklahoma St. and not say CDH’s goose was cooked. That was UH’s second consecutive home loss. The team was beat down in the second half. It was one more nail in CDH’s proverbial coffin.

I was in the group that thought he could win … until Rice. Then I was in the group that wanted him fired before he was able to get on the bus to go back to UH.

The Rice and K-State games largely did it for me.
I was at the K State game, miserable is putting it mildly. But their fans were nice even with the blow out, I told them we will get them in basketball, and they replied we are tough in basketball, I got the last laugh.

Yeah, the KState game was one of the worst I’ve seen as a fan. I’ve witnessed plenty of big losses, but most of them had some bad luck/fluke plays. KState just hit us over the head with a baseball bat when we walked through the door and didn’t stop until the whistle blew.

At least for me, the Kansas St. game really showed how far UH needed to go to be competitive in the B12. UH was clearly out coached, out manned, and out played in that game.
The Kansas St. game was a dose of reality.

Idk if I necessarily buy that. We should have beat Texas and OSU. Those were the two teams in the Big 12 championship game last year. We should have never lost 41-0. Dana was in over his head and his team showed it. They took on the personality of their coach.

Nah Kansas State just outlined how bad our coaching staff was imo
Talent was there - should have beaten Rice, OSU, and UT, you could even throw Cincinnati and TCU as games we should have won as well
The WVU game should have never come down to a hail mary at the end
This is why I think we will surprise with this new coaching staff, imo it was never about talent

I was mad i missed the hail mary. Dang Dana! I stormed down Cullen at dad style fast paced walk only to hear the crowd roar in victory. Then i really lost my mind.

Rice definitely. Momentum was there for Texas as well. Should have at least had that last TD. Maybe UC, but I don’t see the OSU and TCU as “should have won” since stats in both games were dominated by the other team including double digit points. What do you base these 5 on?
My brother lives in KC, his neighbor is a big K State guy. We went and tailgated with them, actually really fun despite the bitter cold. After we went to Aggie land down town to hang out, all there is to do in a small town.

A lot of SEC teams will be “highly” ranked to start the seasons so the losses would not look as bad when the CFP rankings come out.
It’s been this way since the BCS and CFP.
