looks like it was made to be as balanced as possible … this wasnt randomized or location baed, but heavily location beyond estabilished rivalries… this was made on preseason perception
everyone in the top 5, plays each other the same amount of times… 2 h&m, 1 away, 1 home
Im curious what Big 12 fanbase is pissed about their matchups?
Im sure Cincinnati wanted to see us at their place
As does Iowa State.
I’m not mad at it. Looks pretty decent to me.
its so balanced that almost no no one is complaining. the biggest seems to be arizona who wanted kansas in a home and home …and it wasnt a schedule strength thing just wanting the biggest brand in the league at their arena
Schedule is great, if I’m nit picking I could’ve done without the home/away with OSU
But that’s being nit picky, so many good matchups
I really hope the big 12 can survive long term
Looks fair to me, but again, what a BRUTAL schedule!! Then it’s followed by the conference tournament. Glad we have the depth this year because we are definitely going to need it.
Roadies both to Phoenix and Tucson. Those will be great Winter trips.
I’m planning on attending one of those game if it on the weekend.
I wanted to travel to TCU again but win this year. Oh well I’ll settle for a Baylor road trip.
Have we died and gone to BB heaven?
Not yet. Until Duke joins the conference.
Atleast we are not Baylor. I see all those home games as loss.
I am now feeling sorry for Utah with away only games at Iowa state and Houston.
Rather have a blue blood.
You feel sorry for them?
Sucks Houston isn’t coming to UC. I think UC can pull off a victory at fifth third but not @ Houston
Other than that. I’m happy with UC’s schedule.
We get to host Kansas, Baylor, Arizona, & Xavier all in the same season. Plus K state, BYU and Utah ( the madsen twins return)
Based on t-rank projections, it’s 11 tier 1 games, 6 tier 2 and 3 tier 3. Plenty of ripe opportunity
That said… 2 high level games against Iowa state & Houston are both on the road so might have to just pencil them in as losses. But getting Kansas and zona at fifth third makes up for it. Also only having to play ucf once is nice
Interesting news from UCF
they are favored to land Dior johnson… who is a super talent but a super controversial player
since middle school he has never been in one place more than a few months… went to NINE different high schools … not including ucf, he has been attached to 4 different d1 university and has yet to play 1 game of D1… mostly stemming from a misdemeanor domestic abuse case
but he is super talented!! in his HS prime he was considered the best guard in all of Highschool as a top5 5star. the jumping schools thing made him take a hit, ended up around top 45 when he was finally done with high school…he played in juco this year and been putting up inhuman stats …and took his team to the juco championship
note UCF returns its top 2 guards, who both did 15pts per… added ivy-curry from utsa who did 17pts per game
and then adding 5star just as controversial Mikey Williams
random: mikey isnt officially with ucf yet… all signs point to him joining the team in august but there is some kind of legal trouble that is currently preventing him from joining right now
there’s also been a large amount of mikey williams training hype videos on my feed the last few weeks (because of the draft and people trying to hype him for 2025)
https://x.com/overtime/status/1797784145969520912
everything above- that’s just their guards, the top 2 draft prospects on their team are actually the bigs 17pts 8rb Keyshawn Hall (George mason transfer) and 5star Moustapha Thiam… and also Rokas Jocius who started at la salle last year and did 9pt and 6
UCF tv and entertainment wise should be so fun… i hope they land dior and i hope mikey joins them …
super interesting their 1st game of the year next year? vs Texas A&M… everything thats happening at UCF vs Wade Taylor, must see TV!!!
Yes, first year in the league and to face that level of brutality. Unfair man
