Big12 Basketball 2024-25

This isn’t the type of game I wanted to see. Atrocious basketball by both teams.

I’d see him once or twice a year for the last 7 years, so not a huge emotional blows I almost feel bad for not feeling worse about it. We would talk on the phone maybe twice per year.

CuJo with 5 points, on 2 of 8 shooting, while being the primary defender on 3 of Cinci’s 5 threes, with 2 of them being (inexplicably) left open in the corner.

When Jones is on fire he can be otherworldly, but he CANNOT be a net-negative floor player for us. If he and Milan would consistently defend and rebound (Milan on the latter) we’d probably have another two wins from that alone.

Simply no excuse to be that lax on the defensive end.

Second half goals: drive the lane (prefer Lipsey to be really aggressive), play engaged (Curtis) defense, cut out the unforced TOs, and take smart shots.

Being honest w you Rez, i walked away n went outside ( very nice day… 70s) the game was so bad. Not good on either side imo.

It was brutal basketball. Unfortunatly, for us, it looks similar to the last 2 months of efforts we’ve put on the floor.

We are not a threat until we can show, consistently, we can get away from being our own worst enemy. Today’s game doesn’t instill a lot of confidence in that happening.

Best thg to happen to the Coogs was lining up w Cyclones in Semis. That way there will only 11k Cyclone fans on Friday. Bc on Saturday another 10k leave the State t9 go to KC. 5K to the game n the other 5k to drink Ice Tea.:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Yea, i told my wife that ISU doesn’t scare you w their offense. Just very difficult to score on them usually. I know a Team very similiar but Offense better this year than in past.

This is actually very true. Theres always an uptick in attendance if we make it to Saturday.

Ive been a part of that last minute crowd more than once.

Nothing better than getting to decide if you wanna go watch us win a trophy or not over breakfast lol.

I actually think we’ve been playing better recently, and its entirely because our defense finally resembles last year for the most part.

I think the 2nd half in Fertita is kinda when it changed.

The offense has stayed more or less regressed… but i think we’re shooting it better overall probably. Just turnover prone.

Way too much dribbling for us. Move without the ball and pass. This is awful offense.

Lipsey to the rescue.

They just never stopped making shots. They’ve been shot makers all year. At least someone. I’ve stopped waiting for it to falter. They’ve earned the benefit of the doubt

Watching at Bacon Street Diner in Clearwater, FL…

Iowa St making some passes in the air shooting.
Fine v Millers Stiffs lbut will hurt as it gets salty.

I love CJones for ISU.
Crafty as they come

Again, I’m just watching the game cast, hit it appears Iowa State is in control

Something I’d like to point out here for those that probably haven’t looked.

If you take out Milan’s game at TTU, where he only played 17 mins and took FOUR total shots (2 of 4), this would be the first game Milan has shot over 30%, away from Hilton, since we beat Dayton in Maui to start the year. He simply sucks away from Hilton.
