Man, how the hell did thar happen? Thats a big gash.
Smart foul there by UCF.
That’s ummm. Not how you do that.
Finally. Ive been ready for bed for an hour.
Happens all the time with tne purposeful miss.
I think I’m ready to have it. Dawkins just hasn’t done enough imho According to 247 they don’t have a hs recruiting class, I’m sure they have silent transfer portal commits
The problem with UCF is you never hear people say they don’t have talent, then talent is there
Seems like on the intentional miss, they regularly rush the shot and then don’t even hit the rim.
Not sure how rushing it might catch the opponent off guard somehow (as of they didn’t know what to expect).
I would think they could up the success rate there some by practicing this even a couple of times more per season.
How many BYU fans are in KC. I wouldnt think many could afford to buy tickets for all 5 wives, 10 kids, after tithing 15 percent of their earnings to the LDS.
Please, thirty kids.
In all seriousness, I doubt many traveled there. There are probably a few hundred.
I dont even think Ive been to the tournament since 2017 or somewhere in there. I hate Power and Light (most locals do), the food options around the Sprint Center suck balls, and its hard to care much about games that dont seem to carry much weight with the seeding committee.
Id rather travel to games or go to NCAAs then put money toward the Big 12 tourney.
I don’t travel much for basketball, but if I were to travel it’d be for big dance games.
I went to BYU Kansas in football though and stayed in Kansas City. It’s fine. Ate bbq.
I don’t feel the need to go back though for a basketball tourney. If I go back to that area for basketball it’s to go to the Phog in Lawrence.
Smart.
Quite frankly I think its weird how much our fan base embraces the Big 12 tourney. Id feel differently if the seeding committee put more stock in the games, but since they dont, I care more about the team staying healthy and playing a smart brand of basketball, something that can carry over to the NCAAs.
If it was only 3.5 hours from where I lived I’d be there. I drive further than that now for every football/basketball game I go to.
Yes, do the Phog. It truly is a great place to see a game, even if I have personal nightmares about what Ive seen there (I still hate Hoiberg for not fouling and making me witness the McLemore 3). The Fertitta is also a great place to go to, even if UH is kind of adjaxent to a demiliterized zone. AZ was also great…fans were super nice around me.
The only place Ive been I wouldnt recommend is Stoolwater. Gallagher Iba feels like you are at a wake of the least popular person in town. One of these years Ill do a UU/BYU double.
depending on how cheap those early round tickets are spending spring break watching technically postseason basketball sounds like a decent deal
They gave us a tour of the Phog while we were there and that was cool.
For basketball, the top three venues i want to visit are
Phog
Hilton
Mckale
Baylor, Texes Tech, Houston, and WVU are also on that list.
For football, I am going to check Colorado’s stadium off this year and Jack trice. I may get to the byu Arizona game, too.
I know it sounds weird, but if you ever do come out for football or basketball I’d fly into Vegas and give yourself a couple days to drive up to Provo/SLC and hit up the national parks. Zion and Bryce are right off the route. Add two hours and you have the north rim of the Grand Canyon
My bro lives in Phoenix and for a while my sister lived near Glenwood Springs, CO, where there were few decent flight options. Ive made the drive up a couple of times and have seen the Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Arches, etc. I need to hit up Zion, and see more of Canyonlands for sure.
One of the few areas of the contigeous I havent been is the Badlands/Yellowstone/Glacier/Idaho part. Seeing Glacier National and Yellowstone are high on my list.
