It’s the right happiness decision for him and his family obviously. It’s a great decision for everyone involved.
Also: Assume Kevin Young wants to stay in college (he’s been rumored to have been offered NBA head coaching jobs the last 2 years).
Who would you expect to earn more money coaching college basketball for the next 20 years, Mark Pope or Kevin Young?
It’s also a wise financial move too. It wins all the way around.

At this rate, Jerome Tang is gonna end up making more head coaching money than Mark Pope over that time span on Tang’s buyout alone!
Kentucky will find a way they can buy him out with a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken. NO sides included. They’d probably happily spend more on lawyers than his buyout would cost, just outta spite!

Looks like Calhoun had one more trick up his sleeve. UC just added Gtech transfer Akai Fleming.
Really like him, only a Soph and gets fouled a lot and played in the ACC.
7 of his last 9 ACC games he scored 13 or more points.
Has stuff he needs to clean up but man, UC is going to live at the free throw line and shoot 80% too

Man… I thought Stoudamire was gonna get GTech rolling again…

Oh man, UCF and Cincinnati ahead of BYU…
Not really a big Torvik guy, but it is interesting!
I guess I could see it, last year’s fade took a lot of wind outta the KY train’s sails, I have to say.
