If BYU had Thiam & Baba Miller in place of Keita
I think they could win a Natty
Elite rim protection by Cincinnati

I think it’s official that UC is actually better with out jizzle.
For sure. Jizzle wanted alot of shots. He scored, but other guys didnt play off him well
This arena has awful sight lines for shooters. And you can very much tell by Louisville shooting 26% and UC is shooting 38%
Right… can’t even hit dunks!
Come on Cincy… we need y’all to win this one.
UC don’t have a star and This is where they need one
Y’all hanging around…
Just too much time on the offensive struggle bus. You are right there with a top team, but the frustration just builds and builds and the confidence just keeps getting chopped away at.
Been there. Not fun.
BYU started the day of impressively and then the league crapped the bed.
Tech was humiliated. WVU kinda choked. KSU tanged it. Cincy is… Cincy.
How many millions does it cost to box out a 5’8 walk-on guard to keep him from getting a game-winning offensive rebound?
Nothing.
How much does it cost to Tang it?
Probably around $50-60 million so far.
I know I am better after getting rid of jizzle.
Dybansta’s reaction to this steal and dunk is huge contrast to Peterson’s attitude.
I’ve pointed this out all offseason. I said Texas Tech was wildly overrated, and Arizona was one of the most underrated teams in the nation. ![]()
But the Big 12 choked hard last night.
Cincy needs Abeav to be better than he has been. Again, @justinhub2003, Celestine is being used exclusively as a power forward at Cincy. The idea that it is because of the Haynes injury does not add up. You also lost Jizzle, all your guards were in foul trouble last game, and Celestine still did not sub in once for any of the guards.
It is not all negative though. Louisville was ranked sixth and you controlled the game for about 75% of it. With Abeav or DayDay shooting at even passable percentages, you probably win. Assuming UL isnt a bit overhyped, Cincy looked very competitive against the number six team.
Texas Tech, before transfers were immediately eligible, I always had a rule that you have to heavily scale down mid major production when projecting it to a high major. If someone averaged 18 points on 40% from three, I would expect about 9 points and 33% in the high major.
But with the new landscape, everyone just assume mid major stats will transfer over. Texas Tech STARTS two mid major guys who were only doing 10pts per game on 40% from three, and people assumed those numbers would hold in the Big 12.
Your 6’9, 220lb center alone was never going to carry a good team.
WVU and Kansas State were choke artists, but both were one play away from winning.
It sucks that both could not pull it out, but both played well. PJ Haggerty is starting to show out. He had 37pt, and then 27pts7&6 in his last two games. Abdi Basher showed out as well and dropped 26. If they can figure out the defense, they can be lethal. WVU is a very good team, just not a great one.
Well please don’t stop. There may be a new reader on Coogfans who doesn’t yet know you were right
@pesik the LeJuan Watts guy. I think Tech will get him going. I do think he has ability
Tyree Bryan, from Santa Clara. I dont think hes a Big12 starter
They also took Luke Bamgboye who played 1 yr at VCU and now hes a starter? Only 220 lbs?
Roster makeup…i think they have holes
Also Christian Anderson is supposed to be your “leader”. Hes still a young player. Alot on his shoulders also. To score, but also lead
When they struck out on the international guy at PG, I knew they would have trouble. The freshman is going to be good, but he’s not ready to do everything they need.
McMillan and Williams could carry the offense at any given time, Hawkins was the engine that drove the team at PG, and Overton could catch fire. They didn’t come close to replacing all of that production.
They also lost Kerwin Walton. Who made (63) 3pts last season
Lost
*Darrion Williams (PF)
*Chance McMillan (SG)
*Elijah Hawkins (PG)
*Kevin Overton (SG)
*Kerwin Walton (SG)
*Federiko Federiko (C)
*Eemeli Yalaho (PF)
Added:
*Donovan Atwell (SG)
*LeJuan Watts (PF)
*Tyeree Bryan (SG)
*Luke Bamgboye (C)
*Jaylen Petty (PG)
*Josiah Moseley (PF)
On paper, looks like a big downgrade. We’ll see what Mccasland can do
I think Walton hit some big shots in their win at Fertitta Center.
Yep. 4 of 6 from 3pt. 14pts at Fertita
Mccasland relied on the extra covid yr players. 4th & 5th yr guys.
His High School recruiting hasn’t been great. It hadn’t hurt him, cause he found gems in the portal. Maybe not this yr
