I don’t know about that. Texas would like to lessen UH and UT-Houston would be a good start. They could be waiting for the right time, they have the alumni in Houston, if they could start a campus in CUSA, then AAC maybe B12, the alumni would love it. The probations always seemed to hit after we beat UT making it appear we had to cheat to beat them, when they were the ones cheating all the time, sounds like politics doesn’t it.

Funk, do you have any evidence at your disposal that shows they aren’t today? Lol, add about any major newspaper to this conversation.

Thank you and Wow !

This should be pinned at the top of the UH Football . It should be mandatory reading for incoming Freshman as part of Orientation !
Go Coogs !

@stexguy, Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I remember this whole mess like it was yesterday. Pardon me, I need to double up on my blood pressure medication.

Just because he is older? Or because he is genuine?

UH’s old time fans have always hated Texas and we always WILL! We will always cheer against them, we will always have nothing but contempt for who they are and everything about them

WHO cares what their fans think? We dont like them, either
and i seriously worry about any Houston fan who doesnt seem to get it

Both, and he loves UH, is a winner everywhere he has been and other coaches who have known or played for him speak highly of him. Don’t think there will ever be a statue of CWF at TDECU like CBY, but if we keep recruiting like we are you never know.

Hey Blue!
Don’t hold back
you speak for a bunch of us old time fans !

aldine,

I second that!

NS!

If you scratch deep enough you’ll find all the majors are infested with t-shirt fans.

We got punished for doing exactly what the other schools were doing all over the country. All because we beat Texas and their money. They couldn’t beat us on the field so they destroyed us off of it. How anyone roots for Texas ill never understand. Most folks are clueless about all this. This was just approval for a loan. Not buy him a car. Unreal

This is Elite-level orientation to the ranks of Coog Nation. I woke up one morning and I only marginally hated UT/ATM. I spent the whole day in a kind of reflection
exploring my inner emotions. After six hours of mindfulness I found the red-hot fury for UT/ATM that was hidden all along. The experience made me a better person.

This is the kind of hate that should be kept alive.

All i know is i’ve hated them since i was a kid
I remember being sneered at for wearing UH shirts and colors and told that winning championships was “their birthright”, and who was UH anyway
I love college football and i cheer for 2 schools
Houston, and whoever is playing Texas
A perfect Saturday has never been just Houston winning
its Houston winning and Texas losing
THATS perfection
May it always be so

Nothing quite like the guy at church that wants to talk about his team the Longhorns and how they can beat your team in any sport, knowing good and well he failed out of Sam and has never even been to Austin.

I don’t let sports dictate who or what I hate, grand larceny at the 9 yard line last year aside.

I used to hate Texas as well, but that was decades ago. It’s just kind of silly to remain fixated on them when we’ve played them once in a quarter of a century, and they don’t have any interest in us.

You should learn to hate without fixation. It’s liberating.
