Stop the negativity. Ooof.
All these people donāt know squat about NIL $ except that we donāt have anyā¦
I think we have more than they knowā¦!
Thatās why Coach wasnāt able to help the Offense more this past year. Too busy staying up at night trying to raise $$ for NIL everyday.
He mentioned how they were able to beat out some high end programs for H.S. recruits. TrustFritz!
Even more smoke around Weigman
Aggy reporting it
Ainsworth also mentioning it
Iām confused as to why he is transferring in the first place. Wasnāt he their starter? Then if heās good enough to start at aTm where they can afford to buy 5* QBs, why would he not go to a better positioned program?
Kyle Allen was before NIL, so it wasnāt that hard to understand. But the games changed.
Second this!!
This would be a huge pickup. I know people are low on the coog this off season with recent bad news but Fritzās is working! I think this offense will look complete different next year
I think theyād find the NIL for him if he wants come here.
He got benched against LSU because Aggy was barely holding on to the lead.
Heās the 3rd best HS QB Iāve seen live behind VY & Luck
Oh ok, for some reason I had the impression he was playing well there. I havenāt seen any of their games though.
This or he genuinely just wants to come back closer to home. Even if it means him willingly taking less $ in terms of NIL.
They went in favor of running QB after couple losses. That went well for few gms, then the Aggies did Aggie stuff. They needed to be able to pass against strong UT - DLine n Marcel Reed who took over is more run first QB. Hence ZERO pts from Aggie offense over weekend.
Iām looking forward to seeing Austin Carlisle play in a Cougar uniform but this potential transfer would at least provide good competition.
Unless he comes here to play close to home and represent, but hard to give a large NIL when we canāt even keep our DC from leaving.
I am too. I am also looking forward to seeing McMickle.
Thatās different pots of money though.
Iām in favor of anything that raises the level of competition for the QB job, but we would have to run a different kind of offense from 2024 for this to look like a great fit.
Heās the second best behind Duncavilleās current QB for me.
With everyone focusing on portal players to fix their woes, maybe this will increase the pool of good high school players that need some time to develop. Iām thinking specifically of OL. Pay them a token NIL, redshirt them, and groom them to eventually start.
My focus is beefing up the OL. No QB can be successful if there is no run game and he is running for his life.
I guess the majority of yāall didnāt see the video of Conner Weigman walking around Kyle Field in full uniform once it had cleared out after their loss against UT. Him just taking in the experience as he knew he would never suit up and play for his current team again was hard to watch for many of their fans you can tell how much he wanted it to work there. You donāt have to read much on him to become a fan.
Now fast forward to this whole oh I donāt think heāll come to Houston because of lack of NIL money or whatever give me a break. So many of you forget that so many college athletes still go about business the right way trying to find a landing spot that can set them up for success after football whether that be in the NFL or business world.
For him to get to play Big 12 football in his hometown close to family for a coach and new offensive coordinator that just put their most recent quarterback in the NFL is an excellent landing spot for any quarterback.
