very well put and agree.

my whole company is Aggies and they have nothing but good things to say about him as a person and his character.

hell there’s a thread on TexAgs about him leaving that appears to be quite positive

now - if he does transfer here does that translate to wins?

edit to add - Haynes King’s performance and all out effort against Georgia was pretty amazing and he’s an Aggie transfer as well.

Weigman CAN run, but he really shines as a pocket passer.

I think after some of his injuries, he got a little happy feet, and he really suffered this year.

If we can put together any kind of O-line, I think he’d be a huge pickup for us.

I dont follow the Aggies enough to say for sure, but Weigman wasnt the starter by the time they faced UT, so idk what happened with him…

He had some bad games, started getting happy feet, and he was replaced by Reed. I think they stuck with Reed since he was better at running for his life behind that line.

I will say this. Weigman would be a major upgrade over Chriss. If Weigman transfers to UH, if I was Chriss, I would transfer, if I was bent set on playing QB. Comparing Weigman and McMickle and Carlisle is unfair. Weigman has P4 experience. McMickle has zero snaps in 2 years and Carlisle is still in high school. Not fair to McMickle or Carlisle.

NO WAY CWF wants to bring in some QB who cant run the ball AT ALL…literally about 40 or 50 yds rushing his whole aggie career. He got beat out by the kid who was a better running threat.
.Why did Blinn win? Fritz had Michael Bishop. Why did Tulane win? Fritz had Michael Pratt. Criss and the Ridge Point kid are great runners and the HS kid is a great passer also. They FIT our offense. Weigman doesnt. Weigman needs to go somewhere like Michigan and throw the ball and hand off to all the great RBs that school has… Pretty sure Fritz is smart enough to know it.

He was the starter, got injured, was out for the season last year.

This year, starts, but played poorly. Got benched and that was it.

I’m good with Austin Carlisle. He really wants to be here and he is trying hard to recruit for us. Even Fritz said one day he would hire him as a recruiter. Says a lot. I would much rather see a high school kid that is excited about wearing the Scarlett and White than some Ag that is in it for themselves and just want NIL $. No thanks. Lets have some pride
