Possibly but they don’t have the population of Houston, Arizona, or Colorado. Arizona has more people than Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, Maryland, and Oregon. Houston has more people than all but 14 states and is the second-fastest growing metro area.

It’s not about population or markets.
It’s about brand size.
With our non-AAU status and one of the smallest brand sizes in the P4, we are not on the B1G’s radar screen. Not even close.

How 'bout those Texans uniforms yesterday?
The only other obvious candidate is Weigman’s former teammate, T.J. Shanahan, OL, at Texas A&M. Shanahan is being recruited by some SEC elite schools. He also may be waiting until A&M’s bowl game against USC in the Las Vegas Bowl. I would be surprised if UH snags him, but I would love to be wrong.
He’s looking less and less likely.
Penn State is who I am keeping eyes on.

Do some players live in off campus apartments or at places like The Haven, where MBB stays?

It varies. Some players stay at Cullen Oaks as a UH athletics tradition, others stay at The Haven where the basketball team stays, others stay.with gfs, etc.

We have neither.
I knew a guy that played FB for UH for a year or two back in the day. It’s not so much a girlfriend as a “paper writer” and homework doer". And I suppose there were other benefits also.
