I am going to say that Coach Sampson has evaluated Silimana and sees some potential. Whether that develops into something only time will tell. At the very least, we know Silimana fits the culture, otherwise he would not have been offered.

Absolutely…He fits the culture and seems ready to work real hard with the coaches to become a better player and learn the Cougar way of doing things during his redshirt year. He’s from Mali, in Africa, so thats another interesting thing about him. Very excited to be coming…

I was trying to dig up more info on Silimana and I read one description saying he has a “high motor with rare physical skills.” Definitely sounds like a Sampson recruit. He is 6’10”, 220 lbs. with a 7’6” wingspan to go along with that athleticism. Oh, and he played for U17 Mali in the U17 World Cup.

I’m excited for this guy. He seems like the old school dogs we used to target and helped create/continue the culture.
I dig the 5-stars but I’d rather have talented kids here who i can see for more than 1 year and watch grow. Dunno. Maybe its just me.
