BOOM!

Just watched his HS highlight film.

He’s VERY deadly…AFTER the catch and on returns!

His strength is underrated.

Played big boy football in a very strong district in Georgia.

Scrappy bunch of kids in that area.

He really does look every bit of 5’8 185.

It is not his size; it is the size of his heart.

Exactly what I was thinking……great comparison.

Put a guitar in his hands and he would look like a C & W singer . . . . .

How can those college coaches hold a kid’s height and size against him when he clearly has a very special talent? That’s why so many coaches pick the wrong kids for their team, it’s because to the vast majority of them size is the first thing they look for and it is one of the most important traits to them, if not the most important. But just because somebody is big doesn’t mean they’re good! And vice versa, just because they’re small doesn’t mean they’re no good!

I’m more interested in how he looks with a football in his hands…

That’s ok let the other coaches keep making that mistake and we will continue to get the great players . It is not the size of the Cougar in the fight, but rather the size of the fight in our Cougar!!!
Go Coogs !

Elandon Roberts just finished his 8th season in the NFL….

And his two best seasons are his last two.

107 tackles for the Dolphins last year and….

101 tackles for the Steelers this year.

Guess his height hasn’t been too big of a factor.

That 2015 team was special.

Roberts has always credited Todd Orlando and Yancy McKnight for his college development.

Coaches hold a kid’s height and size against him . . . . . I’ve heard this even at a Jr. Hi and Hi School level. Too many coaches decide the biggest is the best, even at a young age, forgetting that they youngsters will grow. IMHO, many really good potential players lose interest when passed over when young. Then they decide to get into other interests and we all lose out.
