BOOM!

Nevermind Funk……I just realized who we were responding to….KenJourney is a complete troll job……I am just remembering all the non-sense he previously posted….

Don’t bother with this guy.

He just called coaches “clipboard holders”….

No respect for anyone with a clear agenda……if you find some of his old posts you’ll see what I mean.

Completely agree, however FSU somehow found a way to overstep whatever arbitrary boundaries there are to be the 1st to get investigated by the NCAA on NIL :face_with_hand_over_mouth:.

Mews might be a key player for UH for kickoff and punt returns IF UH uses those plays as opportunities. I myself am pretty fed up with watching a fair catch all day. Hell, the equipment guy can do that.

Was it during the Applewhite tenure when it seemed like we would never return a kick? We’d throw up the fair catch signal as soon as the punt left the punter’s foot.

Yep and now the fads caught on everywhere. Take me back to 1985 please.

It’s a lot harder than you think.

Right! I mean our O Line wasn’t that bad.

I respectfully disagree. You have one of the fastest most shifty guys on your team in the wide open with a distance between them and the other guys with blockers in chaos. Seems to me you’d exploit that at every opportunity.

I agree with what you just said.

I was only saying that catching punts and making a split second decision is not easy….but when you have a stud that has perfected technique and has supreme confidence then yes, exploit it all day long.

If this guy is another Jones that would be outstanding.

Or perform maintenance on high voltage equipment… :eyes::grin:

The return is the same. Army reserves, football games, Hell’s gauntlet. They (and their parents), if you choose to think of them as kids, knew the return.
Amateur athletics was always uncompensated unless you were the East German Olympic team.
You can literally win the US Open golf championship as an amateur, beating Rahm and the rest of them, and you don’t get a dime. But saying you deserve money as an amateur because the coach makes a lot of money is not valid in the context of what amateur is. And NIL, by the ruling, does not change that.

Exactly! I can smell a troll from a mile away.

Rules are mostly broken by those who MAKE THEM.

We have 3 OL’s transferring in from other universities:
Cedric Melton OT 6-5, 300 - Ole Miss
Jake Wiley IOL 6-6 310 - UCLA
Dakota White IOL 6-1 305 - La Tech

We have 5 HS signees from early signing:
Derek Joiner IOL 6-3 285
Ray’ Quan Bell IOL 6-4 305
Larry Crawford IOL 6-4 275
Ronnell McLain IOL 6-4 310
Hingano Hautau OT 6-6 325

I think we have adequately addressed our OL and we have some pretty good guys returning.

I’m a little worried about the tackle spot. No matter what we’ll see a drop from Paul

I guess we have to wait and see. Adequate talent and great scheming can overcome the drop in a lot of cases.
