Y’all just go ahead and do what you want.
I think it’s smart on his end, given that not all B12 programs have the same sort of Alumni/Donor buy-in, and each excel (or suck) at different sports.
For instance, you have the TxTechs & BYUs of the world…and then you have the likes of TCU, UCF (or even us ).
Yormark read the room and clearly knew there was no consensus among schools how to distribute revenue to the athletes. He made the only decision he could.
Not sure where to put this, but this is an awesome facility. But all of the conference facilities are.The two coming online next month (UH and TCU) will only help put Big 12 football facilities on par with any in the country.

Good!
I’m really hoping the 4 of us (Houston + Cincinnati + Central Florida + Brigham Young) start running this conference.
So far, we’ve owned the conference in basketball and another newcomer, Arizona State, won the first post UT football conference title
As long as we keep the hateful eight at the bottom of the conference!
Cincinnati administration stepping up. Beautiful facility for the players and fans. Go beat some B1G and SEC teams.
Stinky thinking. Not good for conference synergy.
No love lost for members that kept us out of their conference for almost 30 years…including that 2016 sham
They only added us when they got desperate.
Plus, there are 8 newcomers so if they win the conference will still be on good shape…just with new blood
It’s that kind of thinking that posed an existential threat to the conference you’re now a member of.
I’m sure Tech fans hope for the continual success of UH athletics.
Hopefully, Tech fans are pulling for the long term success of the Big12. It redounds to their benefit for that to be the case.
I thought you said that they were doing everything to join the sec and big ten?
You’re missing the forest by focusing on the trees.
You mean the dog a pony show that the Big 12 put on? Tech followed what Texas told them to do and Texas certainly didn’t really want UH in the conference. If you go to the Tech board as a UH fan, it’s not pretty.
And on top of that, Zona made the College World Series.
The newcomers are taking over!!!
Would you have preferred Tech not support UH’s inclusion?
You think that they had a choice?
We always have choices. Houston could have chosen not to join the Big12.
