Tech said we were the worst 4-1 team in the country, so at least there’s some consistency.
“Houston won’t go far in the playoff. Worst one loss team in the country.”

Better than being the best 3-4 team in the country…
This is a narrative that is currently going around, though…
That’s why the Zona game had weak attendance… people that haven’t watched the Coogs assume were still a bad team.
I think more coaches are going to start staying put if the NIL money is there.
NOW they can build a program and snipe away a few high end recruits that would typically go to the 3-deep roster on a blue blood like Bama, OSU or UT.
I think Cignetti will stay a long time at IU. He is given the resources and may be able to turn them into a Big 10 power. He will get the money and a statue.
There are going to be a lot of non blue bloods biting off chunks of big time recruits making the big boys weaker and the smaller programs stronger.
Plus he just signed an 8 year $96 million contract or something along those lines…
Our defense better improve.
If Leavitt and Tyson are out then our defense just has to be decent.
Our defense will have to play much better than against Arizona
We are not the 4-8 team that the Lazy Coach left, and certainly better than last year. See how prepared we are? See the masterful clock management last week?
We are good. Period. Not there yet, but good. If the O-Line does an average job, we have more than a punchers chance.
asu can be beaten but they dont beat themselves, very well coached; coogs are going to have to play their best game of the season to win.
Actually its the offense that needs to get better: To control the ball, To limit our opponents opportunities to score and to eat the clock.
Worst one loss national champion ever…
No it’s not. It was an 11 am start and also this fanbase has been the exact same for a very long time. I don’t think that it had anything to do with people thinking that they’re still a bad team.
Coogs lose to Zone State, Coogs beat WVU the following week to go to 7-2. The 3 remaining games are all winnable and losable. 9-3 season would be amazing
Coogs beat asu
Yes… that narrative is part of it… and losing to Tech.
I literally just saw an alumnus atvwork and I said “what about them Coogs!?”
He said… " Yeah… sucks we lost to Tech…"
Nothing about bowling or getting votes, etc… why…?
Because they don’t realize this team could still make the CCG.
11am also doesn’t help… but if we’re ranked at 11am I guarantee you there’s a lot more people there.
Even if they beat Tech and were ranked, the crowd would be the same at that time. I know this fanbase by now.
Nope
No it wouldn’t. 2011, 2015 and 2016 showed that
