Not only can we beat them, there’s a strong chance we’re going to blow them out.

-Maalik Murphy is 6’5, 240 lbs and has been afraid of getting hit. He ran for a first down yesterday and got rocked by a 190 lb Oregon defender

-Their receivers can’t catch even when Murphy throws good balls

-Their offensive line is horrific and has given up several sacks every game

-Their defensive line doesn’t penetrate

-Their linebackers are non existent

-Well…they may as well not even put a secondary on the field

-They’re currently 0-4, none of their games have been close.

That being said, this could also be a trap game.

-Looking ahead to Texas Tech

It will be a tough game on the road. They give scholarships too. Hopefully we play without injury.

Weird game. Late start after a bye on the road. Wouldn’t surprise if there’s a slow start but we can beat them. Their QB situation is also abysmal.

Had a UH shirt on at the grocery store this morning. Huge guy (I’m 6’4" 240 and he made me feel small) stopped me and asked if we played yesterday. I said we were off but at Oregon State next week. Said hes keeping up with us as best as he can. He and his wife are huge CWF fans. He coached their son in college.

Houston didn’t have the best team the last couple of years but we had enough talent to shock more than a few teams on the games when we were able to put it all together. I expect Oregon State to be the same way. They have talent on that roster. We need to play well and expect that they on the other side are making adjustments to be more successful

Let’s just win, I don’t care by how much, just go 1-0 this week, and set up an undefeated game against Tech. That’s all I care about.

My guess is that if Oregon State has been having as many offensive issues as they have, they will be in for a world of hurt against OUR defense.

Well, we are a two touchdown favorite, on the road, in a different time zone.

Working at Burns Park Tennis Center in North Little Rock, someone calls with a 713 area code. I answer, he left his ring in our shower area. I then say “Go HOUSTON”. He then says “GO COOGS”. life is good when you encounter other COOGS in Arkansas. Found his ring and called him back to pick it up. All good.
