We bought tickets to the game, and I noticed that you can buy parking in the green or red lot through the UH ticket website. However, it is through ticketmaster and after fees the parking is $34.96 which I find totally ridiculous! Are there going to be cash lots at the stadium? What about MetroRail? I only used it once. Where would you recommend getting on the MetroRail? Where would I park to hop on? Thanks.
I think they told me cash parking was 29 or 39 dollars. I fully expect blue lot to be alot and that’s where all of the good tailgates will be.
Don’t hold me to that for all i know it’s 50…

Usually the green lot off Westridge is the go to cash lot. Other side of Kirby.
Easiest place to park for MetroRail is the station behind the old Sams Club, on Fannin just south of South Loop. It’s got a big parking lot there for MetroRail. Don’t know if they charge to park there for the game, but when they do it’s usually cheaper than NRG parking. Not sure if you have to by a train ticket either…in recent years it’s been free for Coogs on game day.
Enter the Park & Ride lot from W Bellfort (first intersection south of the Loop). You only go one stop up the line to get off at NRG.
Only (slight) negative about taking the Red Line to NRG is you’ll have a bit of a hike to get in. But you’ve got a hike almost anywhere you park at NRG. And if you’re walking from Fannin you get to pass by the Eighth Wonder of the World!
We always use the Purple Line for TDECU games. It’s soooo easy.

Idk where I’m parking but it will be a hotel .5 a mile or longer for 10 bucks.
