CDH makes a good point that the first stretch ends in NO with a divisional road game that’s actually very important, moreso than the 3 OOC games preceding it. Hope we aren’t fatigued or dinged up by then. I’d look for the starters to get pulled quick vs PV.
Last year’s game vs Tulane was so weird. King’s injury just took the life out of everyone and it boiled over to Ed and CMA. It seemed like the whole team was sad and frustrated. Stuard was running the wildcat because all our RBs were dinged up and through all that an improving Tulane team never had a chance. It was the only game Tulane lost late in the season and the only game we won late in the season.
Really wish we didn’t have that Tulane game at the end of that stretch, and we have to play North Texas right after that. Conference definitely didn’t do us any favors with that game.
Reminds me of when The Horn Coach complained about the Thursday night games his first season. Conference needs to do a better job at protecting teams and ensuring that they are at their best.
I will say this…CDH’s reputation at WVU was that he wanted tough OOC games. Hopefully, that carries over.
