I said it before, and that’s SMU will be very successful in the NIL era. What they have, are a lot of very rich donors who can buy them whatever they need, including players and coaches.

I think Missouri is average, but you could probably make a case that alone is better then any win that SMU has

Clemson might not even be that good, there schedule went a combined 71-73

The CFP is all about money for ESPN and that means, big brands will be preferable to include in the CFP.

Apparently not to some on here. A top 25 win only counts if that team is ranked in the cfp. KSU is not. So no top 25 win for UH either.:upside_down_face: Btw smu beat two top 25 teams this season.

I was referencing current top 25 wins, in the end I think that is a metric that the committee puts a lot of weight behind. IMHO I have a hard time seeing them reference beating Louisville or Pitt as quality top 25 wins when comparing SMU’s schedule to other teams.

Fair enough. But to be fair your post said no top 25 wins, which made me respond, it didn’t say no wins over current top 25 teams.
